The Giants continue to stockpile some spare parts for the coming season after their early splurge, and they added a running back yesterday.
Via Ebenezer Samuel of the New York Daily News, the Giants signed running back Bobby Rainey, per Rainey himself on Instagram.
Rainey has some background with Giants offensive coordinator Mike Sullivan from their days with the Buccaneers. Bit the Giants have a deep backfield already, so chances may be hard to come by.
Rainey’s return ability will be the thing that gives him a chance, but the Giants invested in former Cowboys wideout Dwayne Harris for that role last year.
He only had five carries and three receptions for the Buccaneers last year in addition to his return duties.
