Receiver Jacoby Jones was due to make $2.5 million in base salary this year from the Ravens. He’ll make a total of $2.5 million this year from the Chargers.
Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Jones received a $1.6 million signing bonus and a $900,000 base salary for 2015. Next year, he’ll be paid a $3 million base salary in 2016 under the two-year deal. Assuming he’s not cut after only one year.
That may not be a safe assumption. The Ravens cut Jones one year after signing a contract that gave him a $3.5 million signing bonus.
