They’re gonna need a bigger pool.
The Jacksonville Jaguars, who have struggled at times to sell out the team’s home stadium in recent years, has sold all seats for the Week One visit from the Packers. As noted by Jaguars spokesman Tad Dickman on Twitter, the Jags are selling standing-room-only tickets for the first time since an October 5, 2014 visit from the Steelers.
Skeptics will say that the visiting team had something to do with the ticket sales for Week One. Whether or not that’s the case, the Jaguars are on the verge of becoming contenders again, and future visits from the Ravens, Raiders, Texans, Broncos, Vikings, and Titans will show whether people are buying tickets in order to support the home team.
For any Jaguars fans who want to see the team play in person before December, it would be smart to buy tickets to the three non-London home games to be played before back-to-back visits from the Broncos and Vikings on December 4 and 11, respectively. The home slate ends 13 days later with a game against the Titans.
