The Jaguars have decided to part ways with linebacker Arthur Brown.

The team announced Tuesday that they have waived Brown, who joined the team as a waiver claim in September. Linebacker Sean Porter has been promoted from the practice squad to take his place.

Brown was a second-round pick by the Ravens in 2013 and played in 34 games for Baltimore without making an appearance in the starting lineup. He played in all 12 games for Jacksonville this season, but saw only six snaps on defense while playing a considerably larger role on special teams.

Porter was a fourth-round pick by the Bengals in 2013 and spent his rookie year on injured reserve before playing in one game for Cincinnati in 2014. He was waived in 2015 and landed on the Jaguars’ practice squad.
