The Carolina Panthers were one of the best running teams in the league last year -- and one of the worst passing teams. Coach John Fox wants to do something about that.
That’s why, the Charlotte Observer reports, Fox is changing the schedule for the Panthers’ organized team activities.
Fox has run OTAs the same way for eight years, but this year he’s putting an increased emphasis on the passing game, including devoting the first three days of OTAs completely to the passing game.
That includes the offensive linemen, who are doing extra position drills but not spending any time working on the run.
