LAL WILL COACH RAIDERS RECEIVERS

Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that the Raiders have hired Sanjay Lal to coach the team’s receivers. Lal replaces James Lofton, who was let go earlier in the day by the team. Lal spent the past two years with the team as a quality control assistant on offense. The London native played receiver at UCLA and the University of Washington. He played for the Rams in 1998, and in the World League the following season. Lal spent four years coaching at the college level before being hired to work on Lane Kiffin’s staff two years ago.
