Manziel laughs off his bargain-basement jerseys

2014 NFL Draft

NEW YORK, NY - MAY 08: Johnny Manziel of the Texas A&M Aggies poses with a jersey after he was picked #22 overall by the Cleveland Browns during the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft at Radio City Music Hall on May 8, 2014 in New York City. (Photo by Elsa/Getty Images)

A rack of Johnny Manziel jerseys recently was spotted at the low, low price of $1.99 (per jersey, we assume; not the entire rack). The image made the rounds on social media and elsewhere, and it got Manziel’s attention.

He posted on Instagram a black-and-white version of the photo with the messages, “LOL.”

In a separate photo, Manziel is holding a couple of bags containing clothing that presumably cost a lot more than $1.99, while also wearing pink shorts that say, “Know Yourself.”

It’s not known whether Manziel has honored his vow to get sober as of July 1. Even if he does (and hopefully he will), he has a long way to go to get back to the NFL.
