Marcus Cannon out with his toe injury, Patriots adjusting again

The Patriots have been playing mix-and-match up front all season, so it might not be that big a deal for them.

But they’re going to be without yet another offensive lineman, as tackle Marcus Cannon has already been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Jets, via Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald.

Cannon started at left tackle last week, replacing IR’d Nate Solder. But he didn’t make it through the first half against the Colts, suffering a toe injury that kept him from returning.

They shifted right tackle Sebastian Vollmer to the left tackle spot last week, with Cameron Fleming filling in at right tackle.

Left guard Shaq Mason is questionable with a knee injury, not the kind of problems they need going against a talented Jets defensive line.

The Patriots will also be without defensive ends Jabaal Sheard and Rufus Johnson, as they’ve already been listed as out.
