Marvin To Minnesota?

Whenever we mention the name “Charley Walters” in this space, many Vikings fans stop reading. For the rest of you, Walters reports under the “Don’t Print That” portion of his column in the St. Paul Pioneer Press that there’s “buzz” that the Vikings “might” sign receiver Marvin Harrison to a “one-year, low-end deal” to provide competition for Sidney Rice. Of course, this assumes that Harrison would accept a low-end deal. Chances are that he won’t, given that he declined a reduced offer to remain with the Colts. Then again, if Harrison has no other options and he wants to continue playing football, the Vikings might be his best option. Especially when Harrison would be catching passes from Brett Favre.
