MEANS SHINES AT INDIANA PRO DAY

Indiana wide receiver Andrew Means, who also plays baseball for the Cincinnati Reds organization, opened some eyes at the Hoosiers’ campus Pro Day workout. According to Gil Brandt of NFL.com, Means ran a 4.36 in the 40-yard dash and bench pressed 225 pounds 18 times as he auditioned for 10 NFL teams. Means is nearly 6-foot-1 and weighs 213 pounds. Meanwhile, kick returner and running back prospect Marcus Thigpen ran the 40-yard dash in 4.47 and 4.48 seconds. He also registered a 35-inch vertical leap, a 10-6 broad jump and bench pressed 225 pounds for 21 repetitions. Means was the Hoosiers’ second-leading receiver last season and averaged 13.2 yards per catch. He’s also regarded as a good blocker. Of course, Means will likely be faced with a decision at some point between football and baseball.
