New lawsuit centers on Super Bowl playing field

MetLifeField

In eight days, the Seahawks and Broncos will be playing on a football field that has spawned a different kind of game in a court of law.

Per the Associated Press, Taylor Turf claims it’s still owed more than $292,000 for installing the current playing surface at MetLife Stadium. The job was completed in 11 days, at an alleged agreed price of $417,000.

Taylor Turf contends that it received $125,000 early in the process, but that it has been stiffed for the balance.

It seems like a fairly basic dispute, and it should be easy to resolve -- if indeed the agreed price was $412,000 and only $125,000 has been paid.

Maybe the explanation is that the check is in the mail. And that the mail truck is on the George Washington Bridge.
