On the second day in which free agent deals can be struck, the Bills are hosting a pair of unsigned players who combined to start 28 games in 2013.
Dolphins cornerback Nolan Carroll and Rams guard/tackle Chris Williams are in Buffalo to meet with the team, the Bills said Wednesday. Both are unrestricted free agents.
Carroll, 27, recorded 47 tackles, 11 passes defended and three interceptions in 2013. He appeared in 16 games, making 12 starts. The 6-1, 205-pound Carroll is on the taller side for the position.
Williams (6-6, 326) started all 16 games at left guard for St. Louis a season ago. The Bears’ first-round pick in 2008, the 28-year-old Williams can also play tackle. He has made 54 starts in six NFL seasons.
