Maybe cornerback Marquice Cole is going to be the new Ross Ventrone for the Patriots.

The Patriots just announced they re-signed Cole, after releasing him in final cuts this weekend.

To make room for him on the roster, they released offensive lineman Josh Cline.

Cole was released Sunday, when the team claimed a pair of offensive lineman off waivers. Apparently, after a night to think it over, they realized they needed more help in the secondary.
