The ankle injury that has kept Saints running back Pierre Thomas on ice for most of 2010 may have been more serious than most people thought.
Thomas’s injury has been described as a high ankle sprain, but Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Thomas tore a tendon in his ankle and, in hindsight, might have been better off having surgery to correct it.
Today’s game against the Seahawks will be the seventh that Thomas has missed this season, but he is getting better, and there’s a chance he could play on Thanksgiving against the Cowboys.
