Here come the Raiders.
Trailing by 21 points at halftime, the Raiders have cut the deficit to a more manageable margin, but the Seahawks still hold a 27-17 lead early in the fourth quarter in rainy Seattle.
Special teams have fueled the Raiders’ surge. The Raiders picked up a quick touchdown to begin the third quarter after defensive end Denico Autry blocked a Jon Ryan punt and wideout Brice Butler recovered it in the endzone, cutting Seattle’s edge to 24-10.
Later in the third, the Raiders got another big play on a punt, with rookie T.J. Carrie breaking a 27-yard return, setting up Oakland at the Seattle 30. The Raiders would capitalize, with quarterback Derek Carr’s fourth-down TD pass to tight end Mychal Rivera reducing the Seahawks’ lead to 24-17.
The Seahawks would respond with a nine-play, 68-yard drive ending in a 30-yard field goal, which pushed Seattle’s lead to 10 points.
