The St. Louis Rams will retire the number 80 worn by wide receiver Isaac Bruce, who made his retirement official this week.
The Rams will hold a ceremony retiring the No. 80 on October 31, during the Rams’ game against the Carolina Panthers. For that game the Rams will wear the throwback white, blue and yellow jerseys that they wore for the early part of Bruce’s career, including the 1999 Super Bowl-winning team that Bruce played on.
Bruce played for the Rams from 1994 to 2007 and for the 49ers in 2008 and 2009. The Rams acquired him this week so he could officially retire with the team.
