Last year the St. Louis Rams’ first-round pick, Sam Bradford, started all 16 games and was the Offensive Rookie of the Year. This year the Rams’ first-round pick isn’t getting off to such a good start.
Defensive end Robert Quinn, the 14th overall pick, was left inactive by the Rams for today’s opener against the Eagles.
The decision to leave Quinn inactive is a surprise, as it was expected that he’d be an important part of the Rams’ game plan for stopping Michael Vick.
Wide receiver Austin Pettis, the Rams’ third-round pick, is also inactive.
