The Aaron Rodgers-watch in Green Bay is important enough that even the most minute details become signs of great importance. Or something.
At any rate, the latest omen isn’t necessarily a good one.
According to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com, Rodgers took his snaps in individual drills from backup lineman J.C. Tretter, while Matt Flynn was working with starting center Evan Dietrich-Smith.
Maybe it means something, maybe it doesn’t, as the Packers politely (I’m sure, everybody’s nice there) usher the reporters out before team drills start. So maybe Rodgers takes a snap from Dietrich-Smith then, and maybe tight end Andrew Quarless will tell us about it later.
Or maybe the plan is to wait until later to see if Rodgers is ready to return from a broken collarbone, with the season on the line this week against the Steelers.
