When recently announcing that refunds will be available for all non-premium tickets purchased for games that aren’t played due to a work stoppage, the NFL also said that the individual teams will have to decide whether refunds will be available for club seats, luxury suites, and PSLs.
The Redskins have announced their decision, and it was a wise one.
Refunds will be available for all tickets, the team announced. Given that some of the folks who otherwise patrol the Halls of Congress would have been burned by a “you can show up, we just don’t have to play” policy, it makes plenty of sense the the ‘Skins have opted not to scalp their paying customers.
Hopefully, the other 31 teams will follow suit. If not, look for more than a few lawsuits to be filed.
The Redskins also announced that general admission ticket prices won’t be increased in 2011. The general admission seats have not increased in price since 2006.
