The Bengals finally addressed their lack of a top-end tight end by taking Jermaine Gresham from Oklahoma in the first round in April, but they weren’t done tinkering with the position.
Reggie Kelly was brought back into the fold Thursday, according to the team’s website. The veteran is known as an excellent blocker, and as a leader for the tight end room.
When Kelly tore his Achilles’ tendon last training camp during the taping of Hard Knocks, it was easy to see how much he meant to the rest of the team. At the time, I thought it may be the end of his career.
Now Kelly, 33, will get another chance.
