Jimmy Kennedy suspended by NFL

The depleted Giants defensive line is about to take another hit.

Howard Balzer of espn101.com in St. Louis reports Kennedy was suspended by the NFL. It’s unclear why he was suspended and we don’t know the length of the suspension yet. Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star-Ledger confirms the suspension is for “less than a year.”

Kennedy has filled a need as a rotational reserve, making his presence felt a few times.

UPDATE: It’s a four game suspension for violating the league’s performance enhancing drug policy.
