The Ravens have informed veteran receiver Michael Crabtree they are releasing him today, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Baltimore signed Crabtree to a three-year, $21 million deal during the 2018 offseason, with a $7 million signing bonus.
The Ravens now will see a $4.7 million charge against their salary cap for Crabtree for this year. They avoid a $2.5 million roster bonus due on the fifth day of the league year and his $5 million salary.
After news of his release broke, Crabtree tweeted, “We good! Let’s get it!”
Crabtree, 31, made 54 catches for 607 yards and three touchdowns in his only season in Baltimore. He also led the league with eight dropped passes.
Crabtree previously spent six seasons in San Francisco and three in Oakland. He has not had a 1,000-yard season since 2016, which was the second of his career.
