The mere fact that Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has joined Twitter didn’t seem to be newsworthy. His second tweet did.
“Looking back on it . . . it was a catch,” Romo said, with a photo of a leaping Dez Bryant making the reception that was deemed not a reception after further review.
In response, Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford should post a photo of Cowboys linebacker Anthony Hitchens mugging Lions tight end Brandon Pettigrew the prior weekend with this message: “Looking back on it . . . it was interference.”
The “it was a catch” tweet also has been retweeted more than 5,000 times. His first tweet -- the number “9” -- has been re-tweeted more than 13,000 times. Which re-confirms that we all need to find better things to do.
