Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick said he hopes to improve on last season.
Last week, it looked like he was onto something.
Fitzpatrick was named AFC offensive player of the week after leading the Jets to a 37-31 win over the Bills last Thursday.
He was 24-of-34 passing for 374 yards and a touchdown, spreading the ball around effectively, with three receivers over 90 yards. He also broke a personal slump against the Bills, having lost eight of his nine last games against Rex Ryan defenses.
And now he has an award to commemorate it.
