Sixth-round pick Ted Larsen signs with Patriots

The New England Patriots announced today that they’ve signed offensive lineman Ted Larsen, a sixth-round draft pick out of North Carolina State.

Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

A 6-foot-2, 305-pounder, Larsen started five games at defensive tackle for North Carolina State before moving to center prior to his junior year and starting 23 games over two seasons.

Larsen joins J’Marcus Webb and Joshua Moore of the Bears, Trindon Holliday of the Texans and Phillip Adams of the 49ers as 2010 draft picks who are already under contract.

The Patriots also officially announced that they have released cornerback Shawn Springs.
