Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford suffered a dislocation and torn ligaments in his right middle finger today, but he sounds confident that he’ll be good to go for the rest of the season.

Stafford said on SiriusXM NFL Radio after the game that he did feel the impact of his finger injury during the game, but he’s not overly concerned about it.

“The finger’s OK. It’ll get better. I had to throw the glove on to help with some grip. It impacted me but the guys ended up playing well to help us win the game,” Stafford said.

Stafford wore a glove on his throwing hand for part of the 2011 season because of a broken index finger, and he says he’ll be fine if he wears a glove the rest of this season as well.

“It just takes some getting used to,” Stafford said.

The Lions have a two-game lead in the NFC North with two games to go, and Stafford appears to have no doubt that he’ll be part of a playoff push.
