Missing the playoffs in 2009 hasn’t stopped the Steelers from raising ticket prices in 2010.
Late last week the Steelers sent out invoices to season ticket holders explaining the price increases.
According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, the Steelers sent a letter to ticket holders saying the increase was necessary for the team could “continue to meet the challenges of remaining competitive in the National Football League.”
This increase represents the fourth time in the last six seasons that the Steelers are raising ticket prices. The two times they didn’t raise prices were the two seasons after they won the Super Bowl.
