Steelers unveil new throwback jersey

For their 80th season in the NFL and the first season of the NFL’s partnership with Nike, the Steelers have retired their recent alternate uniform and unveiled a new throwback ensemble, from 1934.

It features black numbers in white rectangles, over a collection of black and gold horizontal stripes. (Some Seahawks fans will say it reminds them of the jerseys that the officials should have been wearing during Super Bowl XL.)

With the new/old jerseys will be decidedly non-Nike tan-colored pants. The Steelers will ditch the yellow helmets, at least for a year, wearing their black helmets.
