The Cowboys didn’t tender cornerback Sterling Moore as a restricted free agent, leaving him free to sign with any team in the league.

Moore visited with the Buccaneers last week and he’s heading on to Pittsburgh this week. Moore told Josina Anderson of ESPN that he plans to fly there on Monday night for a visit with the Steelers.

Moore played every game for the Cowboys last season, starting seven times and holding down a regular role in sub packages the rest of the time. Moore saw time inside and outside at cornerback during his time in Dallas, as he did with the Patriots earlier in his career, and did a solid if unspectacular job last season.

Solid and unspectacular would be a decent addition to the mix at cornerback in Pittsburgh. Cortez Allen, William Gay, Antwon Blake and B.W. Webb are the current options for the Steelers, so some more names need to be added to the mix at some point this offseason.
