Speaking for the first time since he underwent back surgery in mid-April, Rams running back Steven Jackson said on Tuesday he will be fully recovered in time for training camp.
He said he had an eight week recovery from the surgery, which should be wrapped up in the middle of June. That would give him six weeks to continue to strengthen his back for training camp.
“The surgery really was up to me,” Jackson said. “I decided to have the surgery because I was still in the gray area on needing the surgery and not going with the surgery .
There really is no such thing is a “minor” back surgery, but Jackson says fans shouldn’t worry.
“No, actually you should have been worried about me in February and March, but I’m fine now.”
