Lost in the Dolphins’ blowout win over the Texans (which followed a blowout win over the Titans) is an all-time record set by quarterback Ryan Tannehill during the two games.
Tannehill set an all-time record for consecutive completions, with 25 straight throws connecting from Week Six to Week Seven. It breaks the record set by Donovan McNabb in 2004, when he completed 24 straight throws.
For Sunday’s game, Tannehill connected on 18 of 19 throws for 282 yards and four touchdowns. He registered a passer rating of 158.3, the highest number available under the league’s convoluted formula based on completion percentage, average per attempt, touchdown percentage, and interception percentage.
