Jammal Brown is still listed as the Redskins’ starting right tackle. But he hasn’t practiced yet during training camp with a hip problem, and it’s unclear precisely when he will.
For now, the team isn’t offering an estimated return date. Instead, all coach Mike Shanahan said Wednesday is that Brown has “a chance” to return, via Mark Maske of the Washington Post.
So how big of a chance? A likelihood? A probability? A possibility? A Jim-Carrey-in-Dumb-and-Dumber “chance”?
For now, we don’t know. For now, the Redskins are happy that Brown’s backup has stepped up.
“The good thing that has happened is Tyler Polumbushas done a good job,” Shanahan said.
They may need him to continue to do a good job into the regular season.
