On Thursday, Giants kicker Lawrence Tynes said that he’s been told he’ll kick this week, bumping the guy who replaced Tynes when Tynes was injured. Tynes apparently misunderstood. “I haven’t decided yet who will kick this week,” Coughlin said in a team-issued statement. “This week is like every other recent week. I am going to let these guys kick all week and I will make a decision at the end of the week.” Um. Oops. John Carney has made 12 of 12 field goals in place of Tynes, whose knee injury knocked him out of several games. Tynes has been healthy for two weeks now, but Carney continues to get the nod. The Giants host the 49ers on Sunday.
