Vick wins comeback player award in landslide, Mike Williams second

vick

As expected, Eagles quarterback Michael Vick won the Associated Press comeback player of the year award. And the voting wasn’t even close.

Vick won handily, with 29.5 of 50 votes. In second place was Seattle wide receiver Mike Williams, who had 8 votes for coming back from being left for done as a draft bust to becoming a major contributor for the Seahawks.

Vikings middle linebacker E.J. Henderson, who returned from a devastating leg injury, got 3.5 votes.

Three different players got two votes apiece: New England wide receiver Wes Welker, Chicago linebacker Brian Urlacher and Kansas City quarterback Matt Cassel. Pittsburgh safety Troy Polamalu, Seattle kick returner Leon Washington and Tampa Bay running back LeGarrette Blount got one vote each.
