The Vikings found their quarterback of the future last season, and now they’ve taken care of the guy who gets the ball to him.
Via Field Yates of ESPN, the Vikings have extended center John Sullivan’s contract by a year, giving him a nice raise.
He was already under contract the next two years at $4.65 million in base salary each year. Now, he’ll make $7 million this year and $5.5 million the following two years.
Sullivan, 29, gives the Vikings some stability in the middle of the line, and the deal rewards a guy who has improved since they signed him to an extension in 2011.
