On Monday night, the Vikings looked miserable against the 49ers. This Sunday afternoon, the Vikings look excellent against the Lions.
When Teddy Bridgewater ran into the end zone on a fourth-and-goal bootleg, it gave the Vikings a 14-0 lead early in the second quarter.
Two plays before Bridgewater’s touchdown, it looked like Adrian Peterson had scored for the first time since November 24, 2013. But a replay review ruled that Peterson had been down just before the ball crossed the goal line, and on the next play Peterson was stuffed at the line of scrimmage for no gain. That led to Bridgewater’s score on the following play.
The Lions’ offense couldn’t get much going in the first quarter, but managed to drive for a field goal early in the second. They’ll need to stop trading touchdowns for field goals, or this game could get ugly.
