During a Monday night visit to NBC SportsTalk, Cowboys receiver Jesse Holley expressed optimism regarding the ability of receiver Miles Austin to play with an injured hamstring.
The team apparently doesn’t share that optimism. Today, the Cowboys cut cornerback Bryan McCann and brought back receiver Laurent Robinson (pictured).
McCann was a rare bright spot for the Cowboys in 2010, winning the NFC defensive player of the week award in his second NFL game, and the NFC special-teams player of the week award in his third NFL game.
He returned in consecutive weeks an interception 101 yards for a score and a punt 97 yards for a touchdown.
Robinson previously had been in camp with the Cowboys. He appeared in 14 games with 11 starts last year for the Rams.
