Seahawks GM John Schneider said that Quinton Ganther could play some fullback this season.
If Schneider is right, it would enhance Ganther’s chances of making the team. He’s not going to get any carries in Seattle’s jam-packed backfield.
  • SEA Running Back
With Chris Brown (ankle) not expected to play Sunday, the Texans may turn to Quinton Ganther to back up LenDale White, instead of Chris Henry.
Although coach Jeff Fisher says he’s comfortable with Henry’s ability to pass protect, it appears he doesn’t feel confident giving the rookie the ball. That is a strong statement about where the struggling second-rounder is at. LenDale White is a must play RB2 this weekend against the Texans.
  • BUF Running Back
Titans signed RB Quinton Ganther from their practice squad.
Ganther, who can play special teams, tailback, and fullback, will help back up LenDale White Sunday with Chris Brown (ankle) expected to be sidelined.
  • BUF Running Back
With LenDale White hurting, Titans RB Quinton Ganther has been splitting carries with Chris Henry and DonTrell Moore at practice.
"(Ganther) is cutting better and seeing things better, so this is a good opportunity for him,” coach Jeff Fisher said. Ganther is the favorite to be Tennessee’s third running back and is a deep sleeper to watch if only because of the situation. Fisher hopes White returns to practice next week.
  • DEN Running Back
LenDale White was added to the Titans’ injury report with a toe injury. He is still listed as probable to face the Panthers.
While it would be a shock if White sits out in Week 9, his fantasy owners should check the Sunday morning inactives to be sure. LenDale has avoided the injury report for most of this season after frequently being on it as a rookie. If White surprisingly is among the Titans’ early-game scratches, rookie Chris Henry will start with Quinton Ganther backing him up.
  • BUF Running Back
Titans signed RB Quinton Ganther to a futures contract.
Ganther will work out with the team this off-season after being waived in November.
  • BUF Running Back
    Titans waived RB Quinton Gaither.
Gaither was signed from their practice squad last month for added depth at RB and his release could be a sign that Chris Brown is close to returning from a sprained ankle. The Titans could use the roster spot to sign former Broncos DT tackle Demetrin Veal, who worked out for the team last week.
  • BUF Running Back
    Titans waived/injured RB Quinton Ganther.
In a surprise, Chris Henry made the club. Ganther’s injury wasn’t disclosed, but he probably wasn’t making the Titans anyway. Rookie Javon Ringer will be No. 3 behind starter Chris Johnson and vulture back LenDale White.
  • BUF Running Back
Redskins signed RB Quinton Ganther, formerly of the Titans.
Ganther was a coaching staff favorite in Tennessee, but he doesn’t offer much more than special teams ability. He’ll take over the No. 3 back in D.C.
  • BUF Running Back
Quinton Ganther, waived/injured over the weekend, suffered a significant calf injury in the Titans’ final preseason game.
Ganther’s injury is expected to keep him out of action for 4-6 weeks, which was too long to carry a fourth runningback/special teamer. He could return to the Titans next year, in place of Chris Henry.
