Blackhawks apologize to Jets, NHL about fan incident
Two Chicago Blackhawks fans were ejected from Wednesday’s game after this incident involving Adam Pardy’s helmet and perhaps a few adult beverages:
To little surprise, the Blackhawks reached out to the Winnipeg Jets, Adam Pardy and NHL regarding the incident. CSNChicago.com passes along the statement:
“We have spoken to those involved in the incident with an opposing player late in our home game last night at the United Center. The individuals were immediately ejected from the arena to preserve the safety of everyone in attendance, including other fans, players and officials. We have also been in communication with the Winnipeg Jets and the NHL to convey our organization’s apologies.”
Getty Images seemed to catch the moment the two fans were being asked to leave:
Pardy said he “definitely smelled a little booze” for some time after getting his helmet back.
