The Vancouver Canucks have acquired forward Cory Conacher from the New York Islanders, in return for forward Dustin Jeffrey.
Conacher was sent down to AHL Bridgeport in December. The 25-year-old has 58 points (19G, 39A) in 141 career NHL games with the Isles, Sabres, Senators and Lightning. He has 22 points in 28 games this season for Bridgeport.
Jeffrey, 27, has 31 points in 124 career NHL games with the Stars and Penguins. He’s spent the entire 2014-15 season in Utica with the Canucks’ minor-league affiliate, for which he has 17 goals and 24 assists in 49 games.
