Video: Torey Krug makes a little history

Boston Bruins defenseman Torey Krug has enjoyed a red-hot start to his NHL postseason career. If that statement isn’t dramatic enough, try this on for size: he’s done something that no other blueliner has ever done in the postseason. Not even Bobby Orr.

According to the NBC SN telecast (and countless others), the 22-year-old became the first defenseman to score four goals in his first five playoff games after finding the net with this howling slapper in Game 5 against the New York Rangers:

He won’t connect on 25 percent of his shots forever, yet that velocity indicates it might not all be a fluke.
