NBC Olympics added Ato Boldon, Mary Carillo and Cris Collinsworth as correspondents for its Sochi 2014 coverage, joining Maria Sharapova.
Boldon, a four-time Olympic medalist sprinter for Trinidad and Tobago, will make his Winter Olympic broadcast debut. Boldon, 39, covered track and field for NBC Olympics at the 2008 and 2012 Games.
Carillo, working her 12th Olympics, will be the host and interviewer for a documentary on Olympic figure skaters Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya Harding that will air during NBC’s Sochi coverage.
In the documentary, Carillo speaks with the 1992 and 1994 Olympic teammates, tells the story of the tabloid-fueled 1994 Lillehammer Games and the present-day lives of Kerrigan and Harding. Carillo will also continue providing feature vignettes about the people, culture and history of the host country.
Collinsworth, an NBC “Sunday Night Football” analyst, will reprise his correspondent role from the 2008 and 2010 Olympics.
