Beijing 2022 published a video Friday promoting its bid to become the first city to host a Summer and Winter Olympics.
The three-minute spot includes highlights of the Sochi 2014 Olympics, Beijing 2008 Olympics and Chinese Winter Olympic stars such as pairs figure skating champions Shen Xue and Zhao Hongbo and short track speed skater Wang Meng.
The video shows how Beijing plans to hold the Olympics, split between the Chinese capital and Zhangjiakou in the mountains. The Beijing Olympic Stadium from 2008 is again planned to host the Opening and Closing Ceremonies. Curling would happen in the Water Cube, where Michael Phelps won eight gold medals six years ago.
It also launched a Twitter account here.
Beijing is competing with Almaty, Kazakhstan, for the 2022 Winter Olympics. Other potential candidates -- Oslo, Stockholm, Lviv, Ukraine and Krakow, Poland -- pulled out of the competition.
The 2022 Winter Olympic host city will be chosen via International Olympic Committee vote on July 31 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
