Olympian Kate Hansen will not compete in the 2014-15 luge season, instead focusing on her studies at BYU.

Hansen, who placed 10th at her first Olympics, also gained fame in Sochi for her warm-up dance routine while listening to Beyonce. Before the Olympics, she became the first U.S. woman to win a luge World Cup race in 17 years at the season finale in Latvia.

USA Luge announced the fall 2014 national team Tuesday, highlighted by Erin Hamlin, who became the first American singles luger to win an Olympic medal with a bronze in Sochi.

It also includes Sochi Olympians Summer Britcher, Chris Mazdzer, Tucker West and Aidan Kelly as well as 2010 Olympian Julia Clukey and Emily Sweeney and Taylor Morris.

The doubles teams shook up after Sochi with the retirement of three-time Olympian Christian Niccum. Niccum’s Sochi teammate, Jayson Terdiman, will race with Sochi Olympian Matt Mortensen next season. Mortensen’s Sochi teammate, Preston Griffall, is taking the season off to focus on studies but will still train.

October races will determine World Cup spots, though Hamlin, Clukey and Mazdzer are already guaranteed berths.
