Team USA rookie Mac Bohonnon (pictured) has advanced into the men’s aerials final after finishing sixth in the second qualifying round this morning at Rosa Khutor.

The top six finishers from each of the two qualifying rounds all move on to the final, which takes place later today at 12:30 p.m. ET on

Qualifying featured two major surprises as both the defending Olympic men’s aerials champion, Alexei Grishin of Belarus, and the top-ranked men’s aerialist in the world, Liu Zhongqing of China, failed to advance.

The discipline now features a three-part, knockout-style format for the final: All 12 competitors will jump in Final 1, with the top eight going to Final 2. The top four from there will move on to Final 3, or the “super final.”

Additionally, the scores will not carry over round to round, and the competitors need three different jumps - no repeats.

Here are your 12 competitors for the final:

Jia Zongyang (CHN)
David Morris (AUS)
Renato Ulrich (SUI)
Qi Guangpu (CHN)
Wu Chao (CHN)
Oleksandr Abramenko (UKR)
Dmitri Dashinski (BLR)
Anton Kushnir (BLR)
Pavel Kotov (RUS)
Travis Gerrits (CAN)
Denis Osipau (BLR)
Mac Bohonnon (USA)
