The Rio 2016 Paralympic torch was unveiled Friday morning.
The torch design is much like that of the Rio Olympic torch but also includes the four values of the Paralympics -- courage, determination, inspiration and equality -- written in Braille on the handle along with the words, “Rio 2016 Paralympic Games Torch Relay.”
The Rio 2016 Paralympics, the first Games in South America, run from Sept. 7-18, following a torch relay through Brazil that begins Sept. 1.
