What’s a man gotta do to get some yogurt up in these Olympics?

That’s the question (sort of) that Norwegian Alpine skiing medal favorite Aksel Lund Svindal is asking in these first few days in Sochi.

Apparently the big man – he’s 6-foot-5, 220 pounds – is having trouble finding his favorite breakfast.

“There is no yogurt,” Svindal, a winner of medals of each color at the 2010 Vancouver Games, told the Associated Press. “And that’s kind of my go-to thing every morning — muesli and natural yogurt — so I don’t get too much sugar. That seems to be a hard thing to track down.”

Otherwise, Svindal had little to complain about. Rooming with teammate and 2010 Vancouver bronze medalist Kjetil Jansrud has been like a flashback.

“It’s like being in camp,” he said. “We have two rooms with the same bathroom.”

He also likes running into athletes from other snow sports, like snowboard and freestyle skiing, in the village.

“In Alpine skiing we’re like a class from one school and then we meet all these other kids from the other schools. It’s kind of fun,” Svindal said.

Now, if they can just get some yogurt in the cafeteria.
