Could there be a North American slopestyle rivalry forming? There at least seems to be that potential, as Canada hopes to sweep ski slopestyle after the U.S. did so on the snowboarding side. The first-ever women’s ski slopestyle final begins at 4 a.m. ET, so we’ll see.
On the U.S. side, Devin Logan, Julia Krass and Keri Herman hope to reach the podium, though they might not rank as favorites.
Dara Howell, on the other hand, seems like the top contender. She’ll predicted a Canadian sweep in the event, but one of the country’s best competitors Kaya Turski bowed out in the qualifying round. Turski’s loss might be her countrywomen Howell and Kim Lamarre, who finished right behind Howell in the qualifying.
There are other options in the field, but the odds seem to be that Canada or the United States will nab the gold or at least dominate the podium.
