Speaking Tuesday, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said the team would “lean on” Travis Homer in the running game for Week 17 against the 49ers.
Marshawn Lynch, and to a lesser extent Robert Turbin, are understandably getting all the media attention, but Homer will be the Seahawks’ only active back who was on the roster before Week 17. The sixth-round rookie is the undoubted touch favorite for a game the Seahawks desperately want to get. Homer, who has carried the ball eight times for 52 yards during the regular season, posted a 19/85/0/4.5 line in the preseason. He is capable of catching passes. Homer will have DFS punt play appeal.

    Seahawks signed RB Robert Turbin.
Seattle is apparently going to get the band back together in the backfield, agreeing with Turbin and still working on things with Marshawn Lynch. Both backs are on the wrong side of 30 after Turbin turned 30 earlier this month. Turbin was drafted by Seattle in the fourth round of the 2012 draft, spending the first three years of his career there. He has a career yards per carry average of 3.8. Turbin doesn’t move the needle much at all in the Seattle backfield, joining rookie Travis Homer.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler confirms free agent RB Robert Turbin is visiting the Seahawks Monday.
Turbin worked out for Seattle last week as well. He left that visit without a deal, though Fowler suspects the Seahawks will sign him this time. The Seahawks need as much backfield help as they can get with Chris Carson (hip), Rashaad Penny (ACL) and C.J. Prosise (arm) all lost to season-ending injuries. Marshawn Lynch and C.J. Anderson have also been linked to Seattle.

In addition to Marshawn Lynch, the Seahawks are also considering a reunion with free agent RB Robert Turbin.
This report comes courtesy of Seattle Times beat reporter Bob Condotta, who hears the Seahawks are likely to sign at least two running backs with Chris Carson (hip) and C.J. Prosise (arm) soon to join Rashaad Penny (ACL) on season-ending injured reserve. Lynch is already en route to Seattle for a visit and we imagine Turbin isn’t far behind. C.J. Anderson, who formed a 1-2 punch with Todd Gurley in Los Angeles during last year’s playoffs, is also on the Seahawks’ radar. Sixth-round rookie Travis Homer emerged as the last man standing in Seattle’s injury-decimated backfield Sunday against the Cardinals.

Seahawks worked out free agent RBs Robert Turbin and Alfred Blue.
Seattle is in the market for a backup running back but neither back is a lock to get a contract this late into the season. Even if they do, they’re unlikely to get more than a handful of snaps assuming Chris Carson stays healthy. There hasn’t been much buzz surrounding Turbin and Blue this season.

    Colts waived RB Robert Turbin.
The Colts made a number of roster moves Friday, waiving Turbin and WR Steve Ishmael while also promoting LB Skai Moore from the practice squad and activating DE Tyquan Lewis off injured reserve. Turbin missed the Colts’ first four games while serving a PED suspension and also sat out two games with a shoulder injury, though he resumed practicing on a full basis this week. Obviously the Colts felt Turbin was no longer needed with Marlon Mack emerging as their lead back. The seventh-year bruiser will look to latch on elsewhere as veteran depth.

Robert Turbin (shoulder) was upgraded to full participation at Thursday’s practice.
Turbin is healthy, though his fantasy prospects are looking slim with the emergence of second-year back Marlon Mack. Even in deeper leagues, he belongs on the waiver wire.

The Indy Star’s Zak Keefer reports Robert Turbin (shoulder) is expected back in Week 10.
Turbin suffered a dislocated shoulder in just his second game back from suspension in Week 6. The Colts play the Raiders this week and then head on bye. Turbin will not be ready to face Oakland, but he should be good to go following the off week. He will offer depth behind Marlon Mack and Nyheim Hines when he returns.

Robert Turbin (shoulder) returned to practice Monday.
Turbin was always expected back after the bye, and this practice puts him on track. With Marlon Mack leading the backfield, Turbin does not have any fantasy value right now.

Robert Turbin exited Sunday’s Week 6 game with a shoulder injury.
He was in a ton of pain after a lost fumble and needed assistance from trainers to get to the locker room. Turbin was playing a lot of snaps behind Marlon Mack. As Turbin was ruled out for the game just before halftime, Nyheim Hines should see an increase in second-half playing time.
