With a number of injuries plaguing the Blaugrana at the moment, manager Ernesto Valverde has opted to bring in some reinforcements for his senior side prior to meeting Real at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Paco Alcacer is one of three significant injuries for Barca, with the forward going down this weekend in the team’s 4-0 win over Deportivo La Coruna. Additionally, Rafinha, Samuel Umtiti and Gerard Delofeu are all expected to be sidelined on Saturday.

In their place, Valverde has called in Barca B players Alberto Varo, Fali, Choco Lozano and Moisés Delgado to fill the void.

Barcelona currently has an 11-point lead over fourth place Real at the top of the La Liga table, after going unbeaten in the club’s first 16 league matches.
